File Shelf & More

New features, improvements, and fixes for Cuewake.

Cuewake 1.2.1 introduces the new File Shelf, a feature inspired by customer feedback. You can now drag files into the notch, keep them close while you work, and drag them into other apps whenever you need them. You can also attach them to a cue for later, without moving the original files.

This update also brings more control over your workspace, including adjustable card text, improved checklists, Markdown export, local backups, and a Recently Deleted section that lets you recover cues for up to 30 days.

Alongside these additions, I've made a bunch of improvements to the Dashboard, reminders, search, file handling, and the overall experience to make Cuewake feel smoother and more reliable.

Added

  • File Shelf in the notch for temporarily holding and dragging files between apps

  • Adjustable Dashboard card text size from 9–28pt, with a reset option

  • Overdue reminders filter in the Dashboard sidebar

  • Markdown export for saved cues

  • Local backup and restore for missing cues

  • Recently Deleted with 30-day recovery

  • Option to locate and repair missing file references

  • Expanded command search with “Show all matching cues”

Improved

  • Checklists with the ability to skip or include individual steps

  • Checklist composer that expands to show more steps

  • File Shelf selection, keyboard navigation, and animations

  • Draft preservation when switching between Composer modes

  • Reminder recognition, calendar handling, and snooze reliability

  • Language translations and right-to-left layouts

  • Thumbnail loading for larger collections

Fixed

  • File drops now go to the correct destination instead of unintentionally entering the File Shelf

  • Switching Composer modes no longer loses unfinished drafts from other modes

  • Improved handling of ambiguous reminder times

  • Corrected language-picker selections and alignment issues

  • More reliable loading of file thumbnails

Note: Local backups save references to attached files, not copies of the original files.
